The Open Innovation Forum is an innovation program that allows companies to share their innovation challenges and get solution proposals from research groups and centers. Therefore, it is a great opportunity to meet the right collaborator to tackle the innovation challenges submitted.

In 2019, several events were held for companies and problem-solvers to meet face-to-face. The first one was in April, with 34 representatives of companies and nearly one-hundred researchers, who held 76 meetings. The second was in July, with roughly 20 representatives of companies and some thirty researchers, who held 50 meetings. The third, in November, hosted 37 meetings, 13 companies and 22 problem-solvers.

The program is organized by BiocatUniversity of BarcelonaBosch i Gimpera Foundation, Pompeu Fabra University, UPF Ventures, Autonomous University of Barcelona, UAB Research Park, Polytechnic University of Catalonia, IDIBELL and ACCIÓ.
